三星Galaxy3S上手小感
My wife and I were very excited about the new phones…so we bought 2 for each when it hit the release date from Sprint. We both loved the S Beam feature and thought it would add a lot of fun so we decided to buy at the same time…which caused me cancel my current 2 year contract and Got a new number.
Well, I did not regret to do that. It is a very nice phone with very rich features. Usually when I used a SMART phone, I seldom used a lot of functions or apps…I used that for phone, email check and navigation, that’s about it. The Galaxy 3 is the first phone I really would like to use and investigate all the features and apps if possible…because of the big screen and fast speed.
To some extends, you could even consider it as a semi pad. The S Memo has large space for any note taking, it works even better with a stylus(which I do have). Flipboard and Play Books make reading a lot easier and clearer, even under the sun. S Voice is an awesome feature, still needs improvement such as the accuracy in noisy environment. Front and back camera both have high resolution. The burst shot could take multiple photos for those objects in action. This phone suffices the photography need for a small trip – thus I have no need to bring our bigger Nikon camera all the time. Due to its fast processing power, it could watch the video and texting at the same time, which is a highly promoted concept by the manufacturer, even though I personally do not think I use this very often. Since I am not a crazy texting guy…But I have to say it is very fast for sure, no matter switching between apps, browsing internet or powering on and off.
S Beam – which you attach your phones together(2 S3) and then you could transfer any media especially large ones between the two fairly quick – works but not exactly like what you see on the commercials. It requires a couple clicks – since it still depends on another technologies such as WIFI Direct. But once it is setup, it will work. Haven’t use this feature a lot.
If you are a nature lover or a quiet girl, you will like this phone. The oval shape is inspired by the rock near the river according to the designer. It’s thin, light and the sound(especially the water drops)/touch feeling is simply amazing.
After all these good things, let’s see if there is anything on the opposite side: first of all, if you put a lot of apps on, and keep a live wall paper, the battery won’t last long, think it this way, a more powerful PC/Server always consume more power than a laptop…it might be too large for a girl’s hand – especially one hand. It is also a complex phone, take an example, it has a lot of motion detection you could preset, say you could shake the phone to get new social update, or pad the top of the phone to get back to the top of your contact list – convenient but at a cost. These mean you have to be cautious when you perfORM certain actions on the phone since the motion feature could simple interrupt your original destination. Last, the signal – My wife actually get a replacement the second day for her phone, since the phone could not receive any incoming calls after she set the vibration on. She could still dial out. Sprint claimed it was one of their tower down, but it did not return to normal the second day, it worked intermittently. Sprint technician could not figure it out but they replaced a new one for us. That one worked well so far. So I guess that is a defective unit and we just got lucky.
After using the phones for about a week, still like it…I think it is a good sign.
